Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season which premiered on CBS on August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the first hosts on The Talk. She won the Daytime Emmy Award for her work. It was only when she started writing that her true passion began to emerge. The Talk, her outstanding talk show earned her an Emmy. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host of The Early Show. After 9/11 the news anchor was sent to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for a riveting and shocking interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania.
